There are many varieties but you should base your decision of the pond and how deep it is.

3. Know what lures and bait to use
After you have learned the features and tricks of your lures, you must learn when and where to use them. You can base these decisions on what fish you are fishing for. With bass it would be smart to use jigs which are simple plastic lures that require jigging for the look of it being alive, you could also use swimbaits. Also base your decision off light, if its dark use bright jigs, if it light use dark jigs.
